Adding extra security to your van doesn’t have to involve complicated wiring or modifications to its electrical system. Van Eye is designed to be a straightforward, battery-powered solution that can be fitted without connecting to your vehicle’s electrics.
A Battery-Powered Approach to Van Security
Many vehicle accessories require a connection to the van’s electrical system, which can make installation more involved.
Van Eye takes a different approach.
The product runs on four AA batteries, powering its internal 30W COB LED light and sensor. This means there’s no need to run cables through the vehicle or connect anything to the battery or fuse box.
The batteries can last for up to 12 months, depending on usage, making Van Eye a practical addition to your existing security arrangements.
Straightforward Installation
Van Eye has been designed with simplicity in mind.
Fitting the product requires just one hole in a suitable van door panel, with a silicone seal helping to protect the installation against the weather.
There’s no complicated electrical work involved, and installation can take approximately five minutes, depending on the vehicle and fitting conditions.
For tradespeople who want an additional security measure without spending time arranging electrical installation, this makes Van Eye an accessible option.
How Does Van Eye Work Without Vehicle Power?
Although Van Eye doesn’t connect to your van’s electrics, it still provides automatic illumination when needed.
The product features a 220° HD wide-angle viewing lens, allowing somebody outside the vehicle to look into the load area.
When Van Eye is switched on and somebody approaches and looks through the lens, the sensor activates the internal LED light.
This illuminates the inside of the van, allowing them to see that your tools and equipment have been removed.
The aim is to discourage an unnecessary break-in by showing potential thieves that there’s nothing worth stealing.
Designed for Overnight Use
Van Eye is particularly useful when you’ve finished work, removed your valuable equipment and parked your van overnight.
Whether it’s sitting on your driveway, outside your home or in a car park, the product can operate independently of the vehicle’s electrical system.
There’s also a built-in on/off switch, allowing you to disable the internal light during the working day when you’re carrying tools.
Once you’ve emptied your van for the night, simply switch Van Eye back on.
Simple Security Without Complicated Wiring
Van Eye isn’t designed to replace traditional locks or alarms. Instead, it provides an additional way to discourage thieves from damaging a van that’s already been emptied.
With battery-powered operation, a discreet viewing lens and straightforward installation, there’s no need to interfere with your vehicle’s electrical system.
Take the tools out. Then show them they’re gone.
